Bigara Station in the upper Plaines Wilhems houses the aeronautical communications and navigational aids of the Department of Civil Aviation. As such, this tall guyed mast supports the antenna systems for air/ground communications between aircrafts and air traffic controllers. It is the tallest structure in Mauritius as nothing comes close to its height. The mast is 183 m (600 ft) tall and is nearly as tall as a 50-storey building. Reaching around 800 m above sea level it is also the 4th highest point on the island under only 3 mountains. Credit to FlagFreak for the texture.
