Sir Edwin Lutyens is said to have used this bench in many of the gardens designed by his longtime collaborator, Gerttrude Jekyll. This drawing is taken from the bench shown on the Lutyens Furniture & Lighting web site. This is an updated version of an earlier model, modified to fix some sloppy joinery.
