Asian inspired garden bench. Constructed with 2x4's. I believe I found this in Popular Woodworking. Update: instead of building the other bench for the party, I did this one. Obtained a few pieces of cull lumber from the local big box store. A bit of circular saw and drill work, this bench was built in less than two hours for less than $20. There's one thing I will be adding to the bench besides a coat of exterior stain and that will be feet. Bore some holes and insert some threaded inserts and then thread in some furniture feet to help level out the warping and cupping from the cull lumber. All in all, this bench got rave reviews from the gathering.
