Terrace of three residences. Originally built in the Late 18th C as a terrace of five weavers' cottages with marlsone walls and thatched roofs. One house has a large rear extension added in the Mid 20th C.. Sundry 20th C casement windows throughout. Modern draught lobby porches added to two of the houses in the Early 21st C. The group is stuccoed and pebble-dashed in different colours. This covers up a multiplicity of substrate materials - stone, brickwork and blockwork. The terrace was re-roofed in slate and concrete tile roofing during the major ateration works of the Mid 20th C; and, at this time, the eaves level was raised by building an extra 600mm height in brickwork, on top of the original marlstone external walls. One red brick chimney, standing on an undisturbed party wall, remains on the roof of the terrace. The height of the existing eaves level is still low. Windows on the south gable end are set at the standard level. The Mid 20th C dormer window gables - on the middle house of the three - hark back to the time when each of the original cottages had a slightly off-centre thatched dormer at the front.
