The Greene building, built in 1931, is named after Benjamin Franklin Greene. Since its construction, the Harvard brick and limestone has been home to the Rensselaer Architecture department. The building contains four levels (and two basement levels) and cost $400,000 to build. The Greene building houses the Rensselaer architectural library, which contains 300,000 volumes and 100,000 slides. In the basement is a woodshop containing a state-of-the-art milling machine and three-dimensional printer. Modeled by John Wallace, RPI Architecture 2014
