The building of the furnace Trebisacce accounted for about a century one of the most important industrial plants present in the Upper Ionian Calabria, ie the production of bricks and employing many people. The production, which began in the early twentieth century ended in the mid 80s because of competition from larger companies. The furnace, with its tall chimney, has remained in ruins for over 20 years and renovated in 2007 with new roof and glass windows have been preserved but the chimney, with the brick kilns, and the basal structure. The building of Hell is now an example of industrial archeology. It 'was recently converted into a museum and exhibition center.
