Original house built in 1825 by the carpenter/owner of the adjoining large workshop building (former chapel). Stucco facade. Brick chimneys.. House extended downhill in Late 19th C with the same roofline but with two high storeys instead of three; and large shuttered sash windows on the First floor to illuminate the 'Piano Nobile' sun room. Front doorway porch of original house enlarged and elaborated at this tiime. Doorway has projecting stone pediment and Doric pliasters. Unsympathetic frontal addition, adjacent to this porch, added in Early 20th C. Odd canted bay window also added at First floor on gable end at this time. Tiled roof with small rooflight to attic added in Late 20th C.
