This original building from the last half of the 18th Century served as the courthouse for the James City County Court and the Williamsburg municipal court. It's T-shaped plan is similar to many Virginia courthouses of the period. Columns were originally planned for the portico, but were never installed. This model was created with the aid of drawings from the HABS Colonial Williamsburg survey of 1976.
