The architecture firm of Schultze & Weaver specialized in luxury hotels, and the Waldorf Astoria, with its limestone and gray brick towers, was their Art Modern masterpiece. Their hotels, which include the Los Angeles Biltmore and the Breakers in Palm Beach, came to symbolize prestige, elegance, and privilege
