A Szent István király templom Szvetlik Mátyás és Murányi Lajos tervei alapján, historizáló stílusban épült 1905 és 1908 között. Az épületen érezhető Szvetlik Mátyás német iskolázottsága, nagy hasonlóságokat mutat a budapesti Szilágyi Dezső téri templommal, melynek tervezője, Pecz Samu majdnem azonos időben tanult Stuttgartban.

King St. Stephen church was built in historicist style according to the plans of Szvetlik Mátyás and Murányi Lajos between 1905 and 1908. The German education of Szvetlik Mátyás is noticable on the building, which shows great resemblance to the church at Szilágyi Dezső square in Budapest whose designer, Pecz Samu was studying almost at the same time in Stuttgart as Szvetlik.
