- This building has three entrances. The hotel's entrance is at 11 Monroe Avenue NW on the eastside of the tower, while the two residential entrances lie at 201 West Fulton Street on the southside of the tower, and 160 Campau Circle NW on the northside of the tower.
- Plaza Towers underwent a $31 million renovation between 1996 and 1997. The renovation included removing the deteriorating and buckling brick facade, replacing it with precast concrete panels, as well as upgrading all of the tower's mechanical systems.
- The Grand Rapids Courtyard by Marriott occupies floors 1 through 7, and includes 214 guest rooms. Floors 8 through 14 hold rental apartment units, while floors 15 through 32 house 32 condominiums units. Two mechanical penthouse levels top the tower.
