*This is a revised version of my old model uploaded on March 22, 2008. After two years, I finally found the time between my other projects to rebuild this entire model* Just like the McAlpin hotel next door, this hotel is also part of the Hilton Grand Vacation Club. But it isn't just the Hilton that relates these four neighbouring building to eachother. They all have the same height, same window height, the eyebrows share the same thickness, they are all beautifully colored. But they were all designed by different architects. This one, the Ocean Plaza, was built a decade after the McAlpin and the Crescent, in 1949. Though it was designed following Art Deco standards, it belongs to MiMo architecture, which means Miami Modern architecture. The building has a beautiful tripartite façade, and a glass brick top. It seems to be only three stories tall, but a fourth story is hidden behind the ziggurat and the glass brick window.
