The Church of the Exaltation of the Cross in Wenduine is a parish church built in a typical West Flemish Gothic brick style. The oldest parts are from the twelfth or thirteenth century. For a long time this was a small three-aisled hall church with a west tower, until the church was extended westward by Alfons De Pauw in 1906-1907, the tower then became the crossing tower.
