a test for texturing a Dr Pepper can, 4 different photos were taken of the original can (both sides, top, and bottom) then were turned into a single photo with a photo editing program and scaled down to decrease file size. can was made with follow me tool, texture was positioned over top for the top and bottom textures, can was cut in half by intersecting a face with it, each side created by intersection was textured with corresponding sides of can. please note that photos must be meticulously taken at proper angles of the can with a good background and not alot of light, if photos have too much light spots will appear on the texture and will make the can look bad, for better results make a texture on your own without using photos directly and instead mimicking what appears on the can.
