The Caparo T1 is currently the first and unique attempt to build a F1 style car fully road legal. In this fictional PropFan version, it was largely modified to house a GE36 General Electric Propfan engine, capable of 40kN of dry thrust. The propfan configuration could outperform easily any existing jet car because the engine could be kept running at full power and the thrust could be controlled from 0 to 100% via the propellers pitch. Two contra-rotating propeller sets of eight blades each provides enough power to reach high speeds in few seconds. Thru the reverse pitch the engine could be used also for braking. A car of this sort could maybe not work properly, but it looks awesome, anyway.
The rims, the tyres, the brake discs, the seat and the steering wheel with instrumentation along with some part of the engine were made by some other modelers, i guess. I found them inside other car models in 3Dwarehouse. If you can recognize some of your work, leave a notice in the reviews and I will add promptly the right credits here in the description.
