This is a chest I designed for my SCA garb, to take to events,etc., after having grown tired of modern platic tubs. It is loosely based on joinery similar to the viking Mastermyr chest and the King Offa chest. The bottom is a single piece of plywood, the rest is designed to be made from common 1x10 and 1x8 lumber available from most Big Box stores. This particular design is joined with wooden dowels, but you could simply screw it together and hide the heads with plugs.
