This distinctive trumpet-legged highboy dates from about 1690. The original is in the collection of the Brooklyn Museum of Art. I made the model from a plan in "American Furniture Treasures," by Lester Margon. This is an iconic piece in the William and Mary style, and has been reproduced by several present-day master furniture makers.
