YU-AJR / The ill-fated DC-9 that operated Flight JP550 (Split to Cologne), which collided in mid-air with BEA476 (Heathrow to Istanbul), a British Airways HS Trident registered G-AWZT. The planes collided over Vrbovec, Yugoslavia, at the Zagreb VOR, on September 10th, 1976. The last 5 meters of the DC-9's left wing sliced through the Trident's cockpit section and forward passenger compartment, killing the Trident's flight crew immediately. The DC-9, now missing half of its left wing, nosedived and crashed. The Trident, with no pilots, remained in flight for a few minutes, eventually stalling out and crashing a few miles away. All 63 aboard BEA476 and all 113 aboard JP550 were killed, in addition to one person on the ground; bringing the death total to 177 people. Thanks to Sketchy@Best. @AirplaneNerd, now do you see why I wanted a HS Trident? Also, don't ask me what font the "Inex-Adria Airways" titling is. I made the letters myself, because I couldn't find a font that looked similar to the real font. :P
