This door knob assembly is highly configurable. Using layers to turn on/off options you can choose between bell and plymouth style handles, keyed entry lock, privacy lock, interior push button lock, thumb lock and non-locking options. To reduce the file size of the model this is imported into and to lock configuration of door knob (e.g. multiple door knobs using different configurations), import door knob into your model, configure the look you want and then delete unneeded layers and their associated components. There is also a "door knob - centering text" layer that when turned on it provides guides for adjusting the door knob for doors with thicknesses of 1 3/8", 1 3/4" (default) and 2". This model shares many sub-components with other hardware in my "doors and door hardware" collection (e.g. strike plates, deadbolts, hinges) such that when they are used together in a model they won't create unique instances of common components, which will help reduce overall file size of model they are imported into.
