Grade 2 Listed Buildings. An attractive pair of residences in an area called The Broadwell - the oldest part of Dursley. The buildings at the front were constructed in the early 16th C. No 6 - 'The Old Tavern' is at the front and used to be 'The Broadwell Tavern' Inn during 17th and 18th C. Before that, one part of the building was a monastic dwelling. One elevation displays paired arch or cinquefoil-headed windows and a blocked doorway. The remnants of a pointed arch can be seen. No 5, 'Spring Cottage', is the small dewlling at the back, built on higher ground in the 19th C. There is a 'public right of way' passageway between the houses. Little bridges cross the stream facilitating pedestrian and vehicular access. The stream, culverted nearby, opens up into a pool in front of No 6.
