A workshop and a dwelling. Terrace of buildings much altered over the centuries. Originally a Mid 18th C single-storey thatched marlstone workshop and cottage; plus a Late 19th C pair of red brick semi-detached 'Victorian' houses. The roof on the stone bullding was raised in the Early 20th C by building red brick walls on top of the stonework to create the First Floor. Some spare stone was used to increase the height of the splayed gable wall. The original wide carriage doorway was blocked up leaving its timber lintel remains embedded in the wall. The larger factory unit created had loading bay doors on the First Floor; and new windows with brick-arch lintels on the Ground Floor. This part of the terrace is now a workshop/studio with an accommodation unit. At the other end of the terrace, half of the Victorian semi was removed in the Mid 20th C and a large house and garage were created with infill work plus a parallel range at the rear. The infill section has a partially pebbledash finish. The parallel range has a stucco finish. The existing Victorian segment has a hipped slate roof with clayware finial; attractive scalloped stone lintels over the windows; a decorative eaves modillion cornice with dentil brickwork; an elaborate chimney stack in variegated brickwork; a Victorian 'crown' chimney pot; and, on the end elevation, one blocked First Floor window. The original sash windows have been replaced with casement windows.
