Grade 2 Listed Building. Two residences. Part of a distinguished row of Georgian houses. Three storeys. Built circa 1830. The building was 'The Bull Inn' for decades in the 19th and Early 20th C closing as a pub in the 1940's. Its licence was transferred to 'The Kingshill Inn' but because of wartime restrictions on information it took the unofficial name 'The Blue Pencil Inn' at its new location, as a satire against the censors. The doorway to No 5 - on the right - has an open timber pediment and pilasters. Walls and chimneys are red brick with pale yellow limestone dressings. Hipped roof. Sash windows. Bay windows on the Ground floor frontage. Sundry wings at rear.
