The doorway to moria, where the land of Hollin ended, this is the gateway used by the Fellowship to gain access to the mines after being turned back by Caradhas, though the mines proved more perilous than anything the cruel Redhorn (as Caradhas is often called) could dish out. The gate was destroyed by the Watcher in the Water, the great Kraken-like beast that dwelt in the lake by the doors. The Gate is only 2D but that is because it was done off of the original pic from Tolkien's book and took almost 2 full days to complete.
