Computer Desk in Arts & Crafts / Craftsman style, constructed of biscuit joined flitch and quarter-sawn oak plywood. Desktop and upper cabinet top are 1/2" lightweight MDF and poplar strip torsion boxes, with visible surfaces veneered with 1/4" oak plywood. Door and drawer frames are solid oak with 1/4" oak plywood inserts. Drawers supported by ball-bearing glides, commonly avaliable at home supply/hardware stores. Computer drawer pulls completely out allowing access to accessory connections (keyboard, monitor, USB etc.) at back of computer. Entire unit is spaced 1" away from wall in the back, allowing room for component interconnection wiring. A 1/2" gap between upper back panels and the rear of the desktop facilitates passthrough of wiring for monitor, telephone, cell phone charger, and other desktop peripherals.
