Mr. Stickley Floorlamp - Mr Stickley is a floor lamp that has three basic arrangements, upright, mid position and a low cantilevered lean. The three lighting positions are not in a lineal motion but rather are determined by the particular legs that are used. The arterial roots or legs at first seem arbitrary and superfluous, but it is only then, our curiosity sets in; a hand reaches forward and toys with the discovery of a new position and new meaning comes to life for those once nonsensical aberrations. The shade, purposely fashioned as a cylindrical drum, is designed to both further emphasize the drama of the slanting base with its horizontal lines, and in a calming way bring a sense of equilibrium as it echoes the horizon.
