This massive machine features 4 giant bucket wheels that similtaneasly mine dig into a hill side the raw material is transported by conveyor to a containment area before it is dumped out the back of the machine into waiting dump trucks. The machine is controlled by operators in the control tower high above the action. Two counterbalance arms help keep the machine balanced and also helps hold up the bucket wheel arms.
