The 'Badger' MBT-9 is the latest model in a long line of main battle tanks produced by the Ford company for UTN Marine forces. Designed in 2355, the 'Badger' was then fast-tracked onto the mass production lines when the threat of civil war loomed, and saw extensive action in these wars throughout the 2360's, where it earned the respect of UTNM tank crews for its reliability and power. Packing a huge 120mm main gun, the 'Badger' has no trouble dealing with enemy armour, and enemy infantry are quickly dealt with by the mounted 7.62mm machine gun. Able to traverse difficult terrain with ease, the MBT-9 is heavily armoured with an experimental version of the TNTC armour found on UTN starships. Because of the reliable, rugged nature of the 'Badger's chasis, it has many different variants, including an experimental anti-tank unit armed with a railgun.
