5936 Dauntless dive bombers were built (946 as the A-24 Banshee for the army) prior to and during WWII. Scoring a major victory at Midway and all through the pacific campaign, the slow-but-deadly Dauntless saw distinguished career. Many Thanks to the men and women who built, maintained, crewed and flew her. This SBD-3 is painted for the Battle of Midway, from U.S.S. Hornet (CV8) scout bomber squadron 8 (SV-8) ダグラス　ＳＢＤドーントレス艦上爆撃機 SBD無畏式俯衝轟炸機 this model features movable dive brakes, landing gear, canopy, bomb and rear machine guns.
