This is a raised platform bed, fitted for a Queen-sized mattress. 99% of the joints are not finished, but this is designed to use no hardware; only glue and accurate joining are required. There are hidden guide lines. I have added suggested joining, but you can do what works best for you. Oh, I'm actually going to make this one to sleep on.
If someone wants to make this a DC, awesome! I know it's obvious, but the planks should really be a constant 8" apart, centered on the midpoints of the large box. The small box should be centered to the large box, and fitted so the boards are two-thirds between the outer-most planks and the larger box. Both boxes can be resized width-wise (from 4 to 12 inches, whatever is comfortable) and the planks can be either 2x2 or 2x1. I realise this model doesn't accurately represent the scales I just described, but it is only version .5.
