The boat, the "For Sail" was designed to be a long-term fishing boat, or trawler, based on other boats built in similar style. The model still lacks interior design, but the outside is fully functional.
Several sources were used in the design and creation of this model. Soapskin bubble is a plugin that I used to make the geometry of the boat, including the hull. Bezier curves also helped to design many of the complex parabolic curves in the hull and in other parts of the ship. In addition, the lights, pulleys, and life buoys were brought in from the warehouse, the citations can be seen below.
Overall, much or the geometry had to be drawn by hand (including the breezeway covers, the windows, and the doors) as the overall geometry was very organic. Because of these complications the model took a long time to build, and is one of my most proud models I have produced so far.
