Here is a design to build a balanced pan tilt head for use with a jib or dolly. The frame is made from 2 razor scooter. It was designed to have servos run by a R/C plane controller. I have not had the $$ to add that yet. But I have posted a video of this on youtube ( http://youtu.be/DUii30Tz0Sw shot with my iphone ). It is mounted on a jib that I had access to, that is on a camera dolly I built out of a old lawn tractor. I am planning on built my own jib soon as I can make it happen, you can see plans for it in my models "DIY Jib". The head works great without the servo's it is all about having the camera balanced. I used the wing nuts to attach the right anlge bracket to the piece of aluminum extrusion with a bolt slot that I had found for the up and down balance and I used a manfroto Rapid Connect Adapter with Sliding Mounting Plate ( model #357PL) for the front to back balance, that I already had. Too see some photos go to . https://picasaweb.google.com/101613794216519446069/PanTiltHead?authuser=0&feat=directlink
