The Boeing 314 was also known as a flying boat. This plane had a hull but no wheels, which meant that it had to land on water. Several of these aircraft serviced the Atlantic Ocean while the rest serviced Hawaii and other Pacific Islands. 12 of these planes were built. All were flown operated by Pan Am Airlines during the 1930's and 1940's. This model depicts the plane as it looked in early Pan Am colors.
