This SketchUp8 file contains a single Universally Scalable/Reconfigurable Screw/Bolt.
When used repeatedly AS A COMPONENT it uses minimal space IN THE MODEL.
The template is stored vastly oversized to provide greatest precision for scaling to ACTUAL SIZE.
It consists of two parts: a HEAD and a SHANK (called a "threaded shaft".)
Your choice among LAYERS controls the TYPE of HEAD, including Allen Head (Hex-Socket)
PLUS: HEX-Head, FLAT-Head, PAN-Head, and HALF-ROUND-Head TYPES; additionally
EACH of these may have SLOTTED, PHILLPS, REED&PRINCE or COMBINATION Driver options.
The HEAD template is 1000mm (1 meter) radius, 500mm height, to be scaled down appropriately.
The "attached" SHANK/SHAFT template consists of 3 parts: a ROOT, 10 THREAD TURNS & a TIP
Each is a co-scalable sub-COMPONENT (template 500mm diameter) but since each TURN is also
an individual COMPONENT, the SHAFT can be Contracted/Extended by Adding/Removing TURNS,
either in GROUPS of 10, OR by Individual TURNS taken from an Exploded COPY of the Template.
USING the SCALE function on the SHAFT/SHANK allows the THREAD PITCH to be changes also.
