This Mellotron was one of the first types of synthesizers ever invented, Looking more like a piano than flat, modern, keyboard. The Mellotron makes its variety of noises from large wheels of recorded instrument sounds, like the flute, violin,and so on. This instrument was invented in Britian and was big in the 1960's. Some bands that used the Mellotron were The Beatles and the Moody Blues.(Casey 92)
