Help Group discussion • The knot path follows the one originally produced in my 'Knot Tutorial' bowline model (improved with 'uniform' line segment lengths) • After creating 3 new helical paths around the main rope centerline, I used the 'Follow-me' tool to produce the individual rope strands • (Yes, this was modeled entirely within SketchUp) • Update: Added a group that shows how to construct helical paths around a convoluted centerline path, tracing on cylindrical surface endpoints and midpoints • Thanks to '3D Legend' for his suggestions for improvment of this description and the model's instructive features
