This is a stainless steel impact post for use with Automatic Swing Doors. This is a typical 36 inch high example with two bumpers. These posts are often used in conjunction with Low Energy automatic door operators from companies such as LCN (Ingersoll-Rand), Stanley, BESAM, Dorma and others which comply with the BHMA/ANSI A156.19-2007 standard. These posts are usually positioned at the end of the swing path of the door to protect the door from collisions with shopping carts. They also serve as a simplified guide rail, showing pedestrian traffic where the swing path of the door will end and guiding sidewalk pedestrians around the door.
