Working closely with some of today's leading designers enables us to offer such exclusive works as the Stone Rug (2005) by Angela Adams. Hand tufted of 100% New Zealand wool, the rug's circular motif was inspired by the naturally occurring pattern of rocks in the ocean. The design's organic shapes are highlighted by Adams' use of rich color and pile, which adds depth and texture to the rugs. The 0.5" pile is soft and inviting; a smooth cotton backing will not scratch floors. Recommended for use with a Design Within Reach rug pad. Angela Adams is a proud member of RUGMARK, a global nonprofit organization working to end illegal child labor in the carpet industry and offer educational opportunities to children in India, Nepal and Pakistan. It accomplishes this through loom and factory monitoring, consumer labeling and running schools for former child workers.
