In 2001 we were given a commission by ING Real Estate to design offices for leasing of 3000 m² for plot D of Archiparc in Rijnsweerd. Our office was chosen due to the architectural qualities of the office pavilions in Zuiderhof Amsterdam. Consequently this architecture was the starting point for the design. The design plot D is guided by the urban axes of Archiparc. One of these axes forms a square with a pond. The combination of a natural stone façade that is set back, an extra level and the monumental cantilever aloft define the new office block as a real wall to the square. The fragment of the facade that is glazed from the ground to the ceiling reflects the pond. Behind it there are characteristic spaces which are connected by means of voids.
