This model represents the chapel located at the highest point of Star Island, off the coast of New Hampshire. The chapel is probably the most photographed building on Star island.
Sign above the entrance to the chapel says:
"Gosport Church. Originally Constructed of the timbers from the wreck of a Spanish Ship. A. D. 1685, Was rebuilt in 1720 and burned by the Islanders in 1790. This building of stone was erected A.D. 1800."
During the summer conferences on Star Island, services are held in this chapel approximately twice a day.
Most of the polygons are in the steeple, because the steeple is about the most prominent architectural detail on Star island.
I used a single polygon with a single color and transparency to create the weather vane at the top of the steeple.

Complexity is based on the number of polygons in the model. More complex models render more slowly in Google Earth. Learn more about this on our knowledge base.
