Apple Telephone & Telegraph Model "I" desk stand, the original iPhone. The phone, introduced in 1911, comes with the G3 magneto/battery box and the 1921 "hockey-puck" dial accessory, all in stunning white and transparent cobalt-blue Bakelite. The infamous "hockey-puck" dial accessory wasn't all that functional, and was eventually moved onto the base of the phone. Of course, back then the Apple logo was an entire apple--the company removed the bite in a fit of pique at telephone deregulation in the early 1970's, but I've used the modern logo as it's instantly recognizable.
Obviously, I'm kidding. It's purely a design exercise. I wondered what would have been produced had Apple's design aesthetic been applied to telecom apparatus of a century ago.
