Approximate model of the Meade MaxMount 20-inch telescope, suitable to place in a housing structure to check clearances (accuracy is about an inch or so). This model has SketchUp 'components' to allow re-positioning and re-orienting to fit in your structure: a 22-inch tall pier (you can push/pull); the Pedestal (no adjustments); the Right Ascension Assembly with a pin thru the Pedestal to reference LATITUDE adjustments (nominally set to 35 deg); the Declination Assembly with a pin thru the RA Assembly to reference HOUR ANGLE adjustments (nominally set to 6 hours); the Optical Tube Assembly with a pin thru the Dec Assembly to reference DECLINATION adjustments (nominally set to 90 deg). Be sure to select all of the components 'above' the one you are adjusting so any adjustments will affect the appropriate components. For ex, to adjust the latitude, select the telescope OTA, the Declination, and the Right Ascension assemblies to have them all pivot as you adjust for a different latitude.
