the burner used in the 2012 Olympic torch with gas canister. the burner is designed to ensure that the olympic flame is not extinguished through careful regulating of the gas and a wind shield design that minimises windspeed . at the end of each leg, the gas canister was removed and the burner disabled by removing the needle valve that collects the gas from the canister.
