My personal idea of how Nicollet Mall should be redisigned. Starting from the north end of Gaviidae Common you will see a white truck entering an underground passage that leads to an opening back above ground on the other side of 7th street. This underground passage ensures that all vehicles will be underground on the Gaviidae Common block ONLY, and will be pedestrian traffic ONLY. This passage is for buses and a special kind of bus i thought of myself that cruises Nicollet Mall ONLY. This special kind of bus is red and gold(the red carpet and royalty kind of feeling) and has rails all around it for people to hold on. The ride is also free. The N shaped pavement on the Mall represents Nicollet of course, and is where the Farmers Market or other entreprenurial buisnesses. the huge circle will have a sculpture on it, something that screams to the public "You are in the twin cities"( like the bean in Chicago). The seats will be for outdoor dining obviously and the city center on the corner of 7th street under a huge 3 sided television will be a casino with a rooftop portion that has a retractable roof. A casino in the city center is a MUST for Minneapolis imo. the rest of the redesign are trees and water fountains.
