Watts Park is in the centre of Southampton, just north of the Civic Centre. It is named for Isaac Watts, a theologian and hymn writer who lived in the city and whose statue can be found at the centre. The park also contains the city Cenotaph and a sculpture in the design of an open cube which is positioned to 'frame' the statue, the tower of the civic centre and other city landmarks when it is looked through.
