This is an entertainment center model for use with up to a 46" HDTV - though the center dimensions can be expanded. The front of the center (doors) are off to accomidate for hinges, set inside and swing outward (1/2"), and the gaps are 1/16" on all sides to promote a tight fit. The translucent material is glass, and the material is oak plywood for the broad pieces, and 1X2 oak boards for the trim. The inside of the side cabinets promote a light fixture to shine down through the glass shelving, which is designed to be adjustable.
