I designed this to accomedate my 2 laptops and DVD Recorder to save space on my desk. all 3 pieces are hooked into a 32" TV/Monitor in my bedroom. The shelves are pretty close but they are fine for it's intended purpose. Everything is designed to interlock so no fasteners were needed in the construction, nothing but glue.
