3D sketch of existing Tampa Bay Times Clearwater Building (formally known as The St Pete Times) It is located at 776 Court St; in Clearwater FL and has several energy saving features 1) It utilizes lower floor embedment to reduce cooling requirements 2) It utilizes roof top solar water heating panels. 3) and a three tier Darius type wind turbine for generation of electricity. Unfortunately, the buildings sponser and environmentalist passed away and the enregy saving features fell into a state of disrepair. The City of Clearwater purchased the building and has plans to semolish it in the future... Hopefully the wind turbine can be salvaged and placed to good use at some other location.
